When we connected with Peter Cairns of Heating Marlborough in mid-2015, he already had a business website. It was actually the 2nd iteration of their website. The original website had been built back in 2009 and had maintained its design for about 5 years.
Sometime in 2014, Peter decided to modernise the website and hired a web designer for the project. Unfortunately things did not go as originally discussed and the end product left much to be desired.
The colour scheme and layout made the website look dull and feel uninviting. The information on the website was not presented in a user-friendly manner. There was room for much improvement.
Peter welcomed the opportunity to see our work. At the end of the presentation, he revealed how impressed he was with our Marketing Websites and the way they were coming up in Google.
While he saw the value, he was initially reluctant to proceed. He had spent quite a bit of money on the existing website less than a year prior. So, Peter told us that he will contact the current web designer and try to get him to make the necessary changes and improvements on his website.
A few months later we followed up to see how things were coming along. Peter expressed his frustration with the lack of progress and made a decision to hire us to redesign the website.
Wordpress Website Redesign
Within 2 weeks of receiving the necessary information to get started on Heating Marlborough's project, we were able to present the initial design concept. With that concept approved, we moved on to the Content phase.
Peter tasked Tina (his office manager) with providing us text and images we could use to create their website's content. We needed to supplement this data with additional material gathered by our content researcher. Then one of our web-copy editors got to work adding content to the various webpages.
The new website went live on 3rd October, 2015.
Post Launch Report
Within seven days of going live, most of the webpages had been indexed by Google. Many were beginning to rank on the 1st and 2nd pages of local Google search results for prized keywords and key phrases.
In the months following the launch, a few more webpages were added. These detail the types of fireplaces available through the business. They allow Heating Marlborough's website to compete for many more keywords related to the brands they stock and/or supply.
Six months since the launch date, and the website continues to perform extremely well in the top 3 search engines - Google, Bing and Yahoo. In most cases, the webpages occupy one or more of the top 3 positions.
Obviously the name of the business and its domain name helps it DOMINATE the first page of Google Search for long-tail keytwords like

However, the website is also dominating search results for relevant key phrases that do not include the company name. These include

Because of the care taken in naming the images well, the website controls the the first 3 to 5 rows of results in Google Image Search for a wide range of search terms.
