Grove Tavern

It was time for Grove Tavern to jump into the modern age by making it easier for people to find out about them online.

Kellie quickly saw the value when Alla showed her examples of what we've done for other businesses including ones in the food industry. She was eager to move forward but had a few matters to attend to first.

Soon she contacted us to get started.

In the first week of May, work began on the creation of Grove Tavern's new website. Kellie started sending over the information we requested. This helped us to determine the website layout that would be best for her business.

A couple weeks later, we had completed the design and added all information that had been provided so far. At this point we gave Kellie access to the website so that she could preview it and we could discuss a few missing elements.

Around the same time, we got started on setting up and optimising the Google My Business (GMB) account for Grove Tavern. We also provided Kellie with domain name suggestions and then proceeded to registered her desire domain name on her behalf.

Within a couple days, Kellie reviewed the website and got back to us with a couple minor updates to one of her menus which were promptly done. Then we discussed getting some photos of the place and items from the menu for the website. We created a folder on Google Drive and showed Kellie how to upload her photos to it.

About a week and a half later, Kellie uploaded some photos of the outside and inside of the tavern. Then the project was delayed for a  couple weeks as Kellie was sick. Once she had recovered, she contacted us and provided the remaining photos.

Grove Tavern's website was finally launched on Monday 25th June, 2018.

Immediately after launching the website, we added and verified it in the client's Google Search Console. We submitted the website's sitemap and used Fetch as Google to notify Google.

A few minutes later, the website had been indexed by Google. The following morning, about 12 hours later, the website's photos started being indexed.

Grove Tavern's GMB listing has also started showing up in the Map Pack for a number of relevant searches. Here's an example taken on 27 June, 2018.
